In this section we’ll accomplish a number of things all at once. Overall, we’ll go once around the track with Cipher System, demonstrating to  students and teachers that The Cipher is indeed capable of quickly and painlessly transmitting the key elements of music theory and their application to the fretboards of all common string instruments in standard tuning. We’ll discuss intervals in some depth here, plus some scales and triads — just enough to be able to introduce and play some triad chord progressions on either the guitar, mandolin, or ukulele fretboard, our ultimate target and goal.

Intervals are the key to almost everything in music theory and on any instrument you choose to apply it — whether you use the Cipher System or not. Two large sections are devoted to intervals and their inversion. Those tutorials in particular are for general consumption (with or without the Cipher).

Note that you won’t have to read any staff notation at all here,  nor tangle much with music’s letter spellings.  When we use “good” numbers, communication is so clear and direct that we can side-step a full two-thirds of the usual nonsense and hurdles associated with music instruction and be able to get to where we want to go in no time at all.

Again, intervals are the key, so that’s were we begin.
